Magnetic Autocontrol supplier, installation & repair in Dubai

Supplied, installed, serviced and repaired by Mount Everest Automatic Doors.

Magnetic Autocontrol is a German manufacturer from Schopfheim, and part of the FAAC Group. It builds barriers, turnstiles, security gates and parking equipment.

Where it is found in Dubai

Car park lanes in Business Bay and Downtown, factory gates in Jebel Ali and DIP, and staff entrances in corporate campuses all use this type of access equipment.

What we do as an independent company

Mount Everest Automatic Doors is not the manufacturer. We repair and service:

  • Barrier arms that will not lift, lower or stop in the right place.
  • Arms that bounce because the balance springs have weakened.
  • Loop detectors that cause random opening or hold the barrier up.
  • Turnstile arms that fail to release after a valid card.
  • Photocells and control cabinets.

Information that helps us

  • Single barrier or multi-lane setup.
  • Whether tickets, ANPR cameras or card readers trigger the lane.
  • Any pattern in the failures, such as rush hours or heavy rain.
  • Whether vehicles were recently resurfaced or the road was cut near the loops.
  • Photos of the barrier head and cabinet.

Barriers rarely work alone. Tickets, cameras and readers all send signals, so we test each stage to isolate the fault. If a part is discontinued, we explain what can replace it.

Maintenance covers arm, springs, pivots, fixings, limit positions, loop wiring and detector settings, photocells, and cabinet seals and power. We schedule it around peak traffic.

What happens on the visit

A technician runs the lanes or barriers through repeated cycles, checks the sensors, the emergency release and the signal from each reader or ticket unit, and notes what needs attention. You receive a quote in plain terms, and everything we touch is tested again before we leave.

Dubai conditions

Barrier heads in full sun run hot, and sand finds its way into pivots. Inductive loops in the road suffer when asphalt is repaired or cracks open in summer heat. Humid air and washdown water get into cabinets where seals have aged. Because these lanes are often shared between tenants, we coordinate downtime with the building or site manager. Ask Mount Everest Automatic Doors for a site visit and quote and we will test each stage from trigger to arm.

We install and repair magnetic autocontrol systems

Parts: Boom Barrier & Boom Arm, Barrier Motor / Gearbox, Loop Detector, Control Board (PCB), Ticket Dispenser / Validator, ANPR / LPR Camera, Pay Station Module, RFID / Long-range Reader, Photocell Safety Sensor, Parking Guidance Sensor, UPS / Backup Battery

Safety firstDo not force a moving gate or a door held by a spring, and switch off the power before you look at an opener. Springs and motors can injure.

01Questions

Questions about this brand

All questions and answers

What stops a Magnetic Autocontrol barrier from raising its arm?
Possible causes include loss of power, a dead board, motor trouble or a misplaced limit switch. A loop or safety input that still reads as occupied can hold the arm down too. We check power, board indicators, loop and photocell signals, then the mechanism. If the cause is a bent mount or stiff pivot, we release the arm and examine the springs.
Barrier lowers onto a car at a Magnetic Autocontrol lane, what do I do?
Close the lane and call us. When an arm descends on a vehicle, suspect a safety device that has failed or drifted out of alignment: a photocell, a loop detector or the loop wire itself. We test those, review the detector settings and prove that the arm rises on contact. Bypassing safety devices to keep cars flowing puts drivers and pedestrians at risk.
Magnetic Autocontrol turnstile will not unlock after a valid card read, why?
A beep from the reader with the arms still locked usually means the unlock instruction is not reaching the mechanism. Typical reasons: a failed control board, a wiring fault between reader and turnstile, or a lane sensor covered by something. Warped arms, tired bearings and grit inside can also hold it. We trace the signal, bench the board and sensors, examine the mechanism, and confirm the emergency release works before we go.
Why does the barrier arm bounce or creep when it reaches its stop?
Bouncing or creeping at the end of travel suggests wrong balance. Springs soften over thousands of cycles, someone may have changed the boom to another length, or an added light strip or skirt increases weight. Worn pivot points play a part. We measure spring tension, boom weight and mounting, then reset the geometry. A badly balanced boom overloads the drive, so deal with it early.
How do I prepare for Magnetic Autocontrol barrier maintenance?
Say which lanes cause trouble and when, for instance only at rush hour or following rain. Book a short window to close one lane and warn security. We need to reach the controller cabinet plus any ticket or reader posts. If you can read the barrier's data plate, jot it down so we can study the configuration beforehand.
My boom barrier arm was knocked by a car. Should it be repaired or replaced?
Light bending in a boom made of aluminium or fibreglass may be straightened by a technician. A sharp kink, a split, or harm close to the mounting calls for a new boom, because a weakened one can snap unexpectedly. After a knock we also examine the balance spring and mechanism, as the impact can upset them. Car parks in Business Bay and DIC see this often.
What does a turnstile do during a blackout or fire alarm?
A correctly installed turnstile fails safe. If power is lost or an alarm signal arrives, its arms or flaps let go and people can simply walk out. Depending on the model, the arms fold down or the rotor unlocks. The release is tested by us at handover and on every service call.
Tripod turnstile versus full height turnstile, which suits my site?
A tripod turnstile is small and works well indoors where a guard or reception is nearby. A full height unit cannot be climbed or ducked under, so it is the choice for outdoor, remote or unstaffed entrances, such as a labour camp gate or a plant yard. Your risk level and the surroundings should drive the decision.
