Kimmatic supplier, installation & repair in Dubai

Supplied, installed, serviced and repaired by Mount Everest Automatic Doors.

Kimmatic is a name used on automatic sliding door drives and gate motors sold in the UAE, popular with smaller commercial premises.

Where it is used

Shops along Al Wasl Road, clinics in Al Barsha, small offices and showrooms in Al Quoz often use Kimmatic equipment because it suits modest openings.

Our independent service

Mount Everest Automatic Doors is an independent installer and service company, not the manufacturer. We assist with:

  • Sliding doors that jam, drag or stop partway.
  • Failed motors, controllers, belts and wheels.
  • Radar and safety sensors that misread.
  • Sliding gate motors carrying the same name.
  • Maintenance visits that reduce unplanned stoppages.

What to check first

  • Does the door slide smoothly by hand when switched off?
  • Does the controller display or flash a code?
  • Is the bottom track full of grit?
  • Does the door open for people at the right distance?
  • Has anything touched the glass or header lately?

Spares and older units

Because this brand is sold under several arrangements, parts are not always straightforward. We inspect the unit, then tell you whether the original part, a compatible alternative or a new operator is the practical choice.

For small premises a short regular service usually suffices: clean the track and sensors, check belt and wheels, and test the safety reversal. It takes little time and avoids sudden closures.

What happens on the visit

A technician looks at the opening, the drive and the sensors, runs the door through repeated cycles and notes anything unsafe. You then receive a written quote for the work, with the cause explained in plain terms. Nothing is replaced before you agree, and any safety function that was touched is tested again before we leave.

Dubai conditions

Street-facing doors collect road dust, and the heat of summer makes belts and plastic parts brittle. Moving between hot pavements and cold air-conditioning fogs sensors. Retail units often have limited closing time, so repairs have to be quick, and we arrange visits to suit your trading hours. When a spare is hard to source, we explain the options clearly, including a compatible replacement. Ask for a site visit and quote and we will look at the operator, track and sensors before agreeing a plan.

We install and repair kimmatic systems

Safety firstDo not force a moving gate or a door held by a spring, and switch off the power before you look at an opener. Springs and motors can injure.

01Questions

Questions about this brand

All questions and answers

A Kimmatic door clicks but the motor stays silent. What next?
The controller is getting the instruction, yet the motor stays still. The cause could be a dead power supply, a stuck leaf, a loose motor plug or a faulty controller. We check the supply, move the leaf by hand for binding, then test motor and controller separately, which avoids fitting a new motor when a blocked track is to blame.
Kimmatic automatic door will not close, or opens with nobody there
A door that stays open is often detecting something in its safety zone: a dirty sensor, an object by the track or a shiny surface. A door that opens for no one usually has a radar set too sensitive or pointed at passing traffic. We clean the lenses, narrow the detection area and check wiring. Most of these are cleaning or setting issues, not a failed unit.
Is it possible to service an old Kimmatic door operator that is discontinued?
Frequently, yes. First we look it over and report what has worn out. Drive belts, rollers, detectors and plenty of control functions on older units can be matched or substituted, but we will not promise any part until we see the operator. Photograph the nameplate and the header with its cover removed and send them over. We then tell you honestly whether mending it is sensible or a new operator is wiser.
How often does a Kimmatic sliding door need servicing where there is sand and dust?
No universal interval exists, because footfall, dust and cycles vary. A shop on a sandy Dubai street will need tracks and sensors cleaned sooner than a peaceful office reception. After the first inspection we settle on a visiting pattern according to what the track and header show. Meanwhile your staff can clean the sensors and floor channel each month.
What are the signs of a worn drive belt on an automatic glass door?
Listen and watch. A door that jerks, slows partway or ticks as it travels often has a stretched belt or damaged teeth. Cracks and fraying are a clear reason to replace the belt before it snaps and leaves the door stuck. Slack alone may be cured by tightening. We also inspect the pulleys, because a worn pulley will damage a new belt.
The sensor on my sliding door is no longer picking up people. Why?
Common causes are a dirty lens, a unit knocked out of alignment or a loose cable to the controller. Strong sun through glass and glossy lobby floors can also confuse certain models. We begin by cleaning and re-aiming, then look at the wiring and settings, and swap the sensor only if people are still missed.
Why does an automatic glass door start dragging or sagging over time?
The leaf hangs on wheels in an overhead track, and thousands of daily cycles wear the bearings and flatten the tyre. The result is a leaf that sags, scrapes the floor guide or bumps along. Replacing the wheels is the cure. We also check the track for wear and grit, which builds up quickly in Dubai, so the new wheels last.
Why does my glass sliding door open when nobody is there?
The radar sensor may be picking up movement outside, a swinging sign, reflections or a dirty lens, or it may have shifted after cleaning or a knock. We check the sensor, narrow its detection area and test that the door opens only for people who are approaching.
