Al Khalidiyah is a central residential and commercial district just south of the Corniche and north of Al Bateen. Apartment blocks, schools, clinics and shops sit close together, with Khalidiyah Mall and Corniche Road as the usual reference points. That mix means the doors we are asked about are mostly everyday ones: lobby doors in older and newer apartment buildings, shop fronts with sliding glass, clinic entrances, and the barriers or gates at building car parks.
