Door, gate and shutter service in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi is the largest emirate and a long way from Al Quoz, so we treat every Abu Dhabi job as a planned trip. The upside is that planned trips are efficient: we ask for photos and a pin first, bring the right parts and try to deal with everything in one visit.
Four kinds of place
First, the island core and its neighbours. Al Reem Island, Al Maryah Island, Al Raha Beach are tower districts with lobbies and basement car parks, and Yas Island and Saadiyat Island are built around leisure, museums, hotels and a university. Second, the mainland villa suburbs such as Khalifa City, Al Reef, Mohammed Bin Zayed City, where gates and garage doors dominate. Third, the industrial belt of Mussafah and the Khalifa Industrial Zone, with yards and warehouses. Fourth, Al Ain and the west: a Garden City at the Omani border, and beyond it Madinat Zayed, Ruwais and Liwa.
What fails and why
- Lobby doors that open slowly, usually from dirty tracks or worn rollers
- Barriers that stay up after a power cut, often a controller or battery issue
- Gate motors that overheat when the control box sits in the sun
- Shutters that jam when the guide rails are bent or gritty
Climate
The capital's coast is humid and salty, and the interior is very hot and dry. In Al Ain, the climate is hot desert with long, extremely hot summers. Heat and dust are the main problems there.
Permissions
Many districts are run by a master developer or a facilities manager, and changes to shared entrances normally go through them. Escape doors fall under fire and life-safety rules. Some facade or boundary work may need the developer or the municipality to agree. We tell you what we think needs confirming and do not claim approvals.
How we arrange it
Send a pin, a wide photo, a close-up of the label and a line about the fault. We confirm a time rather than promise one. Group your properties in one message so we can plan a single run from Dubai.
One trip, several jobs
A trip from Dubai is worth most when it covers more than one stop. If you manage several buildings, or if neighbours have the same problem, tell us. We would rather plan one day properly than make two half-useful trips. We also keep notes of what we found, so that a second visit starts where the first ended.
Choosing for each kind of place
On the islands, managers often want quiet, reliable lobby doors and barriers that match the access system. In villa suburbs, owners choose between swing and sliding gates by looking at the space beside the opening. In industrial areas, the number of daily cycles decides between a rolling shutter and a sectional door. In Al Ain and the west, shade for the control box and regular cleaning matter most. We discuss these points at the survey, so the quote fits the real conditions. We also keep a record of what we found, so a later visit does not start from zero.
