Dorma-era doors and spares

Doors still labelled Dorma are common and usually repairable. Before quoting, we establish whether the part exists, and when it does not, we propose a compatible alternative rather than promising an exact match. Photos of the header label help us prepare.

For busy entrances we suggest a regular visit: belt tension, wheel wear, track cleaning, sensor aim and a safety test. Dubai dust makes the track and floor guide the first places to check.

What happens on the visit

A technician looks at the opening, the drive and the sensors, runs the door through repeated cycles and notes anything unsafe. You then receive a written quote for the work, with the cause explained in plain terms. Nothing is replaced before you agree, and any safety function that was touched is tested again before we leave.

Dubai conditions

Doors facing the street collect dust that packs into the bottom track, and doors in air-conditioned lobbies often fog their sensors when humid outside air rushes in. Cleaning crews sometimes knock a sensor out of aim, which makes the door stay open or miss slow walkers. Glass facades also heat up in summer, so seals and brushes age quickly.
