Automatic Systems supplier, installation & repair in Dubai

Supplied, installed, serviced and repaired by Mount Everest Automatic Doors.

Automatic Systems is a Belgian manufacturer of entrance control equipment, covering people-flow products such as speed gates and turnstiles and vehicle products such as barriers and bollards.

Where you see it in Dubai

Speed lanes are common in tower lobbies in Downtown and DIFC, corporate campuses in Dubai Internet City and logistics sites in DIP and Jebel Ali. Barriers and bollards guard yards and car parks. Because these products decide who gets in, a stuck lane quickly becomes a queue at reception.

How Mount Everest Automatic Doors helps

We act as an independent installer and service company, not the manufacturer. Typical jobs include:

  • Lanes that report a false obstruction or will not open for a valid card.
  • Flaps or wings that stick, drag or fail to return.
  • Interlocked security doors that hold both doors shut.
  • Barrier arms and bollards with drifting end positions.
  • Planned maintenance and testing of the emergency release.

What to gather before calling

  • The lane type: speed gate, turnstile, security portal or barrier.
  • The access control or ticketing system connected to it, and who maintains it.
  • Any error lamp or message and when it appears.
  • Photos of the rating plate and the control cabinet.
  • Whether the site has building management or fire alarm links that open the lanes.

Spares, software and older lanes

Lane electronics are specialised, so we confirm what is available before promising a repair. When a board or sensor is discontinued we explain the alternatives. We also work alongside whoever supplies your access control software, because a lane often fails at the handover between reader and gate rather than inside either one.

A maintenance routine for lanes and barriers should include cleaning sensors, checking wear on moving parts and testing the emergency release. We can agree the schedule with the building manager.

What happens on the visit

A technician runs the lanes or barriers through repeated cycles, checks the sensors, the emergency release and the signal from each reader or ticket unit, and notes what needs attention. You receive a quote in plain terms, and everything we touch is tested again before we leave.

Dubai conditions

Outdoor lanes and bollards bake in summer sun, and sand works into sensor lenses and moving parts. Humidity can reach cable glands and cabinets, especially on sites close to the creek or coast. Many Dubai properties also depend on the master developer or building owner for work approvals, so tell us early who must sign off. We can then plan access, any lane shutdown and a test with your card system. Book a site visit and quote to start.

We install and repair automatic systems systems

Parts: Turnstile Motor / Mechanism, Control Board (PCB), Infrared Anti-tailgate Sensors, Card / QR / Biometric Reader, Arm / Flap Assembly, Clutch & Solenoid, Direction Indicator LEDs, Power Supply & Backup Battery, Counter / Access Software

Safety firstDo not force a moving gate or a door held by a spring, and switch off the power before you look at an opener. Springs and motors can injure.

01Questions

Questions about this brand

All questions and answers

Why does my speed gate show an obstruction when the lane is empty?
Typically a soiled, skewed or failing sensor, or a reflective item near the lane like a glossy panel or stray tape. Dust on the sensor windows is the top cause. We wipe and realign the sensors, inspect the cabling, then test the lane empty and with someone walking through. Failed sensors are replaced.
Automatic Systems lane stays shut though the card is valid, what is blocking it?
If the reader confirms the card yet the gate holds, the release signal may be failing to arrive. Wiring faults, a dead relay, changed configuration or a gate sitting in an error state can all cause this. We check the reader output, follow the signal into the gate controller and read any fault code. After repairs we run several cards through the lane.
Why does my Automatic Systems security interlock door keep both doors shut?
Interlock logic refuses to open one door while it believes its partner is ajar or the cabin holds someone. A door switch out of alignment, a sticky sensor, or a leaf that never seats fully can leave the system stuck. Damaged cabling linking the two doors does the same. We read every door position signal, test sensors and controller, then walk through a full entry and exit cycle plus the emergency release.
Speed gate flaps or wings have stopped moving, what should I check?
Begin with power: does the unit show a light or error code? A frozen flap could result from a drive failure, an obstruction, worn bearings, or a safety stop set off by a sensor. Never force the wing manually. Jot down what you noticed, like a grinding sound or part-way travel, and a technician will examine the drive, end positions and the sensors at your premises.
What should I arrange before an Automatic Systems gate service?
Name the lanes that fail, what the screen or lamps display, and whether trouble strikes at peak hours. Pick a calm time so one lane can be shut, and warn reception and security staff. If the gates connect to an entry control platform, have whoever administers it on hand. Copy the model labels from each lane where they are readable.
My boom barrier arm was knocked by a car. Should it be repaired or replaced?
Light bending in a boom made of aluminium or fibreglass may be straightened by a technician. A sharp kink, a split, or harm close to the mounting calls for a new boom, because a weakened one can snap unexpectedly. After a knock we also examine the balance spring and mechanism, as the impact can upset them. Car parks in Business Bay and DIC see this often.
What does a turnstile do during a blackout or fire alarm?
A correctly installed turnstile fails safe. If power is lost or an alarm signal arrives, its arms or flaps let go and people can simply walk out. Depending on the model, the arms fold down or the rotor unlocks. The release is tested by us at handover and on every service call.
Tripod turnstile versus full height turnstile, which suits my site?
A tripod turnstile is small and works well indoors where a guard or reception is nearby. A full height unit cannot be climbed or ducked under, so it is the choice for outdoor, remote or unstaffed entrances, such as a labour camp gate or a plant yard. Your risk level and the surroundings should drive the decision.
