Sliding Gate Motor Installation at an Ajman Villa
Ajman, UAE

What we did

Mount Everest Automatic Doors installed a sliding gate motor at a villa in Ajman, UAE. Fitting a motor to an existing villa gate makes daily use easier and can improve security, because the gate closes properly each time instead of being left open. The photo shows a technician in a blue polo shirt and black cap crouching at the base of a large dark sliding gate. He is positioning the operator, which has a grey base and open cover showing the motor and control board with a red wire, against the foot of the gate. Beside him on the paving are a hammer, a rotary hammer drill, tape, a pencil, a mounting plate and a black toothed rack that will be fixed to the gate. A sliding gate motor installation typically begins with a check that the gate itself moves freely by hand. The operator is then fixed on a level base next to the gate, the toothed rack is fitted along the leaf at the right height, and the pinion is aligned so the teeth mesh without binding. After the mechanical work, the control board is wired, the limit positions are learned, and the force and speed are adjusted. Photocells, remote controls and any keypad or access control are connected last. A final series of open and close cycles confirms the gate stops cleanly at both ends and reverses when it meets an obstacle. Owners should keep the track clear of stones and debris, keep the manual release key somewhere safe and known to the household or site team, and have the operator checked from time to time. A gate that is installed well and kept clean gives many years of reliable service even in dusty, hot conditions. The base under the operator matters as much as the motor. A level, firm base keeps the rack aligned as the gate moves, so the installation team marks and drills the fixing points carefully before bolting the unit down and then checks the alignment along the full length of travel.
