How do I remove a leaver's card or fingerprint from access control?

Open the access control software, find the person in the user list and disable or delete the record. Their card, tag or fingerprint then stops working at every reader once the change reaches the door controllers, which is normally immediate on a connected system.

Disable rather than delete if you want a history of past entries. Ask for the physical card back, and check that the person has no copy of any shared code or keypad PIN. A monthly review of active users against your staff list catches forgotten accounts.
