Question
Do strong gusts cause trouble for solid swing gates?
They can. A solid leaf catches wind like a sail, so a gust may push against the operator, trigger the obstruction setting or even bend the arm. Louvred or slatted leaves let air through, and a stronger operator with an electric lock holds a closed gate steady. Tell us if your gate faces open ground, as in Arabian Ranches, and we choose an operator and force limits to cope.
