Can a rolling shutter handle sandstorms at a Falaj Al Mualla farm shop?

A good shutter handles sandstorms if it is wind rated, closed and locked. Choose strong slats and deep guides, with brush seals to keep fine dust out. Light slats can bend in strong wind and pull out of the guides.

After a storm, brush the guides, look for bent slats and check the bottom bar. Do not run the motor if sand has packed into the guides. A manual release is useful if the sand stalls the motor.
