What we did

Our team completed a gate barrier installation in Dubai Hills, Dubai. The barrier controls vehicle access at the entrance ramp to a basement car park, giving the property a clear and automatic way to manage who drives in. The photo shows the finished installation. An orange barrier cabinet stands on the left with a red and white striped boom reaching across the lane to a post on the right, where a second cabinet and an amber warning light are fitted. Two orange posts carry cameras on brackets, and overhead signs in Arabic and English mark the entrance and the no entry direction toward the basement floor. Road markings and paving around the barrier are clean and complete. A gate barrier usually has a motorised cabinet that raises and lowers a boom arm. Installation typically includes setting the cabinet on a firm base, bolting it down, running power and control cables, fitting the boom at the right length and balance, and adding safety devices such as sensors and a beacon. The barrier is then connected to whatever controls entry, such as remotes, cards, a keypad or a camera system, and the opening and closing speed is adjusted. Owners should check that the boom moves without jerking and stays level when raised, that the warning light works, and that safety sensors stop or reverse the arm when a vehicle is in the path. Keep the area under the boom clear, look at the base for loose bolts and clean the cabinet vents. Any unusual noise, slow movement or a boom that sags should be reported for service before it turns into a breakdown. Car park entrances see frequent daily use, so a barrier that is installed square, balanced and well protected tends to keep working with fewer call-outs. Our team at Mount Everest Automatic Doors works from the opening outwards: check the structure, fit the hardware, connect the drive, then adjust and demonstrate the result to the owner. We keep the site tidy as we go and explain how to use the controls and what to look out for later. If you are planning something similar, get in touch and we will talk through what suits your property.
