What we did

Our team completed a garage door installation in Al Barsha South, Dubai. The door closes a wide garage bay at a villa and matches the neutral tones of the surrounding walls. The photo shows a large white sectional door with fine horizontal lines, set into a recess in a sand coloured textured wall. A thin black seal frames the door on the left and bottom. A second door in a similar cream shade can be seen in the next bay at the right, and the driveway is paved with red brick pavers laid in a herringbone pattern. With a sectional garage door the panels are hinged together and guided by tracks on both sides, so the door rolls up and stays flat against the ceiling. Installing one usually means checking the opening for plumb and level, fixing the tracks, assembling the panels, setting the springs and wiring the opener. The result should be a door that stays balanced if it is stopped halfway. Owners of a sectional door should watch for a few simple things. If the door feels heavy when operated by hand, or the opener strains, the springs may need attention and this should be left to a technician. Look at the cables and rollers for fraying or wear, keep the tracks free of dirt, and test the reverse function by placing a solid object in the path. Never try to adjust spring tension yourself. A good garage door should look tidy from the street and run quietly inside. The finish colour, the trim around the opening and the sealing at the sides and floor all affect how the door looks and how well it keeps out dust and heat. Our team at Mount Everest Automatic Doors works from the opening outwards: check the structure, fit the hardware, connect the drive, then adjust and demonstrate the result to the owner. We keep the site tidy as we go and explain how to use the controls and what to look out for later. If you are planning something similar, get in touch and we will talk through what suits your property.
