What does a VDS gate maintenance visit check?

Our first look is at the gate leaf: wheels or hinges, the rail, toothed rack, pinion and bolts. Next comes the motor, covering gearbox, release, motor, limit setup and electrical feed. Last come the protective devices, meaning photocells, edges and the reverse reaction. We oil moving parts, clear the track and cycle the gate repeatedly to prove the whole system cooperates.
