The strap on my hand-operated shutter snapped. Could a motor replace it?
Often yes, as long as the housing and barrel suit a motor and power can reach the box. You would then use a wall switch or handset. We look at the shutter, slats and housing, then advise whether motorising or just fitting a new strap is the easier route.
