Pick a swing barrier if you want an open, welcoming look with easy passage for wheelchairs, luggage and trolleys, as in a hotel or mall entrance. Pick a turnstile when you need strict one person at a time control against tailgating, such as a staff entrance in a Business Bay tower. Many buildings fit both side by side, one for staff and one for accessible use.
