Question
Can one access card open the building door and the parking barrier?
Yes. If the door readers and the barrier reader use the same card technology and are connected to one access control system, a single card or tag can open the building door and the parking barrier, with permissions set separately for each.
This is convenient for tenants and staff, and it lets management switch off one card to remove all access at once. Different permissions are possible, for example a card that opens the lobby but not the car park, or a visitor card valid for one day only.
Mount Everest Automatic Doors can join the barrier and door readers on one system. See boom barriers for the parking side of the setup.
