Mount Everest Automatic Doors supplies, installs, motorises and repairs rolling shutters for warehouses, shops, factories and villas across the UAE. Shutters are one of the simplest ways to secure a wide opening, and one of the most neglected: dust in the guides, a tired motor or a bent slat can make a shutter slow and noisy long before it fails.
Shutter types
- Automatic rolling shutters: motorised steel or aluminium shutters for commercial and industrial openings.
- Double skin insulated rolling shutters: for cold rooms and heat sensitive stores, with a filled slat that reduces heat transfer.
- Residential rolling shutters: for villa garages, windows and openings where appearance matters.
- Rolling shutter doors: the overview of options, sizes and controls.
Converting a manual shutter to automatic
Many older shutters are chain or hand operated. If the curtain, guides and barrel are in good order, a tubular or chain driven motor with a control box can often be fitted, with limit settings and a wall switch. We check the curtain weight, barrel condition and mounting space on the visit. Recent shutter jobs are listed on our projects page.
Repair and servicing
Typical jobs are replacing a motor, straightening guides, replacing slats, fixing springs on manual shutters and resetting limits. See rolling shutter repair.
Where we work across the UAE
We fit and repair shutters in every emirate. Choose yours for the local pages.
- Dubai. Our home emirate. Villa communities, tower podiums, Al Quoz and Al Qusais warehouses and the free zones around Jebel Ali all call for different doors and gates. Rolling shutter repair in Dubai or rolling shutter installation in Dubai.
- Abu Dhabi. Island and mainland villas, Mussafah and ICAD industrial yards and the logistics sites around KIZAD, which need heavy duty gates and shutters. Rolling shutter repair in Abu Dhabi or rolling shutter installation in Abu Dhabi.
- Sharjah. Older villa districts, the Sharjah industrial areas and busy commercial streets, where sand and heat make regular servicing worthwhile. Rolling shutter repair in Sharjah or rolling shutter installation in Sharjah.
- Ajman. Villa neighbourhoods, workshops and the Al Jurf industrial area, a short run up the coast road from Dubai. Rolling shutter repair in Ajman or rolling shutter installation in Ajman.
- Ras Al Khaimah. Coastal villas, warehouses and the free zone clusters around Al Hamra and RAKEZ, where salt air matters when choosing finishes. Rolling shutter repair in Ras Al Khaimah or rolling shutter installation in Ras Al Khaimah.
- Fujairah. Port and free zone sites on the east coast, plus villa districts that face a different climate from the western emirates. Rolling shutter repair in Fujairah or rolling shutter installation in Fujairah.
- Umm Al Quwain. Small industrial plots, farms and villa plots, often with long gate openings and private roads. Rolling shutter repair in Umm Al Quwain or rolling shutter installation in Umm Al Quwain.
- Al Ain. Inland villas and compounds, where dust and summer heat are the main wear factors on motors and seals. Rolling shutter repair in Al Ain or rolling shutter installation in Al Ain.
Frequently asked questions
Do you supply rolling shutters in all emirates?
Yes. We work from Dubai and attend sites across the UAE, with a free site visit and a written quote.
Can I automate my existing manual rolling shutter?
Often yes. If the curtain and guides move freely, a motor and control can be fitted. We confirm after inspecting the shutter on site.
Which rolling shutter suits a warehouse?
A strong steel or aluminium curtain with a suitably rated motor, and a wind and security specification that matches the site. For temperature controlled stores, an insulated double skin curtain is worth considering.
How often should a rolling shutter be serviced?
A yearly inspection suits most sites, with more frequent visits where the shutter cycles many times a day or in dusty conditions.
