What we did

Our team carried out a garage door installation in The Meadows, Dubai. The photo shows the work at an advanced stage, with the new door in place and the site still set up. A white sectional door with raised rectangular panels fills the garage opening of a cream painted villa, with a thin black seal visible at the sides. On the paving in front are stacked aluminium profiles, a Makita tool case, a water bottle and packaging, which show how the installation was carried out on site. Sectional garage doors lift in horizontal panels that curve onto overhead tracks, which makes them a practical choice where there is little space in front of the garage. A normal installation covers the tracks, the panels and hinges, the spring system, perimeter seals and the opener. Careful levelling of the tracks and correct spring balance are what give a door its smooth, quiet movement. Owners can do some basic checks between services. Wipe dust and sand from the tracks, watch that the panels close evenly without a gap on one side, and check that the remote and wall control respond every time. If the door shakes, drifts to one side or makes grinding noises, stop using it and call for service, since springs and cables are under high tension. Before the door is handed over, the installer normally checks that the opening is level, that the panels close tightly against the seals and that the opener stops at the right points. Taking a minute to open and close the door a few times with the owner is part of a good handover.
