Garage Door Installation in Mudon, Dubai
Mudon, Dubai

What we did

Our team completed a garage door installation in Mudon, Dubai. The new door closes the double garage of a villa with a clean, solid panel finish. The photo shows a wide cream coloured sectional door set into a white surround, with fine horizontal lines across the panels. The villa behind it is a modern two storey home, and the driveway is paved with interlocking blocks. Cardboard and packaging lie to the left of the door, showing that the installation had only just finished. A sectional garage door is made of several horizontal panels joined by hinges. When it opens, the panels travel up along side tracks and rest overhead, so the driveway in front of the garage stays clear. A typical installation includes fitting the side tracks, hanging the panels, setting the balancing springs, adding seals and then mounting an opener. Because the springs carry most of the weight, correct tension and alignment matter more than motor power. Owners of a sectional door should watch for a few simple things. If the door feels heavy when operated by hand, or the opener strains, the springs may need attention and this should be left to a technician. Look at the cables and rollers for fraying or wear, keep the tracks free of dirt, and test the reverse function by placing a solid object in the path. Never try to adjust spring tension yourself. Before the door is handed over, the installer normally checks that the opening is level, that the panels close tightly against the seals and that the opener stops at the right points. Taking a minute to open and close the door a few times with the owner is part of a good handover. Mount Everest Automatic Doors, Dubai handles this kind of work with its own team, from the first look at the opening through to fitting, adjustment and a final walk-through with the owner. The aim on every site is a door or gate that works smoothly, is safe around people and vehicles, and is easy for the owner to operate. If you have a similar opening and want advice, our team can look at it and explain the options in plain terms.
