Why has my Dahua PTZ dome stopped rotating or tilting?
Dome cameras carry motors, gears and moving cable, so they age faster than fixed models. A tired motor, a corroded or seized gear train, a wrong control protocol setting or weak supply voltage can all stop rotation. Damp air and dust inside the housing are frequent culprits in Dubai. We measure power at the dome, try presets, and open the casing when that is safe. Certain faults are fixable on site, others call for a new unit.
