Why does a ZKTeco fingerprint terminal turn some people away?
Usually the finger or the sensor. Fingertips that are dry, worn or cut read badly, and a smeared or scratched sensor adds to it. A poor first enrolment is another cause. Re-enrolling with a clean, dry finger pressed firmly and flat often helps. We clean the sensor, try several enrolments and suggest enrolling another finger or issuing a card. A damaged sensor needs repair.
ZKTeco unit grants access on screen yet the door stays locked, why?
Check the wiring after the reader first: a loose relay connection is the commonest culprit. Next look at the lock power, since an underrated supply cannot pull the bolt in, then the lock itself and any sticking at the frame. Our engineers prove the relay signal, read the voltage under load and try the exit button and magnet contact. Curing the cause stops the lock burning out again.
Why does my ZKTeco attendance machine show the wrong time?
An incorrect clock spoils every punch record, so treat it as urgent. Possibilities: someone entered the time manually and it drifted, the coin cell inside went flat during an outage, or the machine no longer talks to the attendance software. We correct the time, test the cell and confirm the connection to the server. If the supply keeps dropping, settings will revert, so we also look at how the device is powered.
ZKTeco turnstile stays locked even with a valid fingerprint or card, why?
Likely suspects: no unlock signal leaving the reader, a dead control board, a jammed arm assembly or a covered lane sensor. We first confirm the reader issues the command, then test the board, arm solenoid or drive motor, plus the lane sensors. Dust, litter and twisted arms are typical في heavily used lanes. Before leaving we also try the emergency release.
How should I get ready for a ZKTeco access control visit?
List every door that misbehaves with what happens, such as silence, no release or sudden reboots. Keep a user list and administrator details ready, plus drawings or a note of door types where available. When the system feeds attendance software, say who looks after it. Let us reach the controller cabinet and the ceiling void above doors so tests finish during one visit.
What access control can I install for my Downtown Dubai office?

The usual choices are card or tag readers, PIN keypads, fingerprint or face readers, and a mix of these on sensitive rooms. The right option depends on how many people enter, whether you need an attendance record, and whether visitors need temporary access.

Doors need an electric lock or strike, a reader, an exit button and a controller. Fire alarm release and Dubai Civil Defence requirements for exits may apply, so confirm with the building consultant. In most cases yes. Existing glass or timber doors can be fitted with a magnetic lock, electric strike or glass door lock, plus a reader and an exit button, without replacing the door. The type of door frame decides which lock is practical.

Check three things first: who controls the lock during a fire alarm, where the power and cable can run, and whether your landlord must agree to changes. How does a fire alarm affect electric locks and access control في Dubai buildings?

In most buildings, the fire alarm is connected so that electric locks release when it sounds, allowing people to leave. Doors on escape routes usually must not trap anyone, so power failure and alarm behaviour are planned carefully.

Dubai Civil Defence requirements في fire exits and access may apply. Check with the building's consultant or the authority before you fix locks on escape routes.
