Why does my Sommer opener make a humming noise but the door stays shut?
The motor has power but the drive is blocked. Unhook the operator and raise the door by hand. A heavy door points to the door itself or a spring. If it moves easily, the drive wheel, belt or chain may slip, or a gear may be stripped. A dead capacitor or board is another cause. Stop pressing the remote to avoid burning out the motor.
Can Sommer sell me a spare remote after I lost mine في Dubai?
We are an independent installer, not the maker, but a replacement handset can normally be supplied if it suits the receiver's radio system. The new unit is taught into the receiver, and the lost one can be erased if you worry about security. Bring a working handset or the operator model. On an older receiver with full memory, a new receiver may be the sensible fix.

Usually you replace the battery, then pair the remote again by pressing the learn button on the opener and pressing the remote button within the time shown في the manual. Many remotes keep their memory, so a fresh battery is all that is needed. If the remote still fails, test it at close range to rule out weak signal, and check whether the opener has lost its memory after a power cut. Rolling-code systems from brands such as Somfy, Nice, LiftMaster, Sommer and BFT each have their own pairing steps.
