A technician walks the property, measures the opening, checks structural mounting points, and looks at power supply and any existing wiring. For commercial sites we also check ceiling clearance for operators and note fire-exit or access-control integration needs. You get a written quote after that visit, not a phone estimate.

Retrofitting existing openings is the majority of our installation work - villas swapping a manual gate for an automated one, malls upgrading old sliding doors, warehouses adding a rolling shutter to an opening that never had automation. The main constraint is usually structural: the frame and lintel need to handle the operator’s weight and the track run, which is exactly what the site survey checks.

Depends on the product. Standard sliding or swing door operators are often stocked or quickly sourced; something like a custom telescopic door, a hermetic hospital door, or a boom barrier built to a specific span may need to be ordered from the manufacturer, which adds lead time. We give you a realistic timeline at quote stage rather than a generic promise.

Our installation teams handle the door automation wiring - operator power, sensors, safety edges, control boards. If a site needs new mains power run to the location, such as a detached gate motor far from the building, that’s sometimes coordinated with the client’s electrician depending on scope, and we flag it during the survey rather than surprise you on install day.

For a single retail entrance or office door, work is usually scheduled to minimize disruption to your operating hours, and a single unit typically wraps in a day. For a full mall entrance replacement or multi-door warehouse job, we sequence the work and can phase it so you’re never left without a functioning entrance - something we plan with you at quote stage.

Removal of the existing unit and reasonable disposal is generally part of the installation scope - confirm it’s included on your written quote, since very large or unusual removals, like a heavy steel warehouse shutter, sometimes carry a separate line item.

A standard sliding door has one or two panels traveling in a fixed track. A telescopic system nests multiple panels that slide into each other, giving a much wider clear opening without a wider wall pocket - common in mall entrances and hospital corridors where clear width matters but wall space is fixed. Telescopic systems cost more and take longer to calibrate because of the extra panels and tracks.

Yes - frame color, glass tint, and hardware finish are covered during the site visit so the new door doesn’t stick out against the rest of the facade. Bring any spec sheet or finish code from the original installer if you have one; it speeds things up.
